About the 12 year old author

Evangeline A. Berry is a fantasy and science fiction author who has loved storytelling for as long as she can remember. Born in California and currently living in Hawaii, she grew up surrounded by imagination, books, and the endless possibilities of new worlds. She published her first book at the age of ten and her second at twelve, beginning her journey as a writer at a remarkably young age.

Evangeline is the author of How to Change History and In Which Everything Goes. Her stories often explore themes of growth, courage, and the journey of discovering who you truly are, especially in worlds filled with magic, danger, and impossible choices. She loves building imaginative realms and complex characters who must face challenges far greater than themselves.

When she isn’t writing, Evangeline loves reading and finding inspiration in new stories. She believes that books have the power to spark imagination, build courage, and remind readers that even the most ordinary person can shape extraordinary worlds.

Inspiration in Every Word Discovering the Book's Origins

In Which Everything Goes was inspired by the song “Cardigan” by Taylor Swift. Specifically, the music video when she climbs through the piano into a different word, I thought 'What if it was in an attic? And it went to a different Realm?' I have no idea where that came from by I guess I have to thank Taylor. Thank you Taylor!!
